We have previously mentioned in our blogs the Wild Fig Tree on Pomeroy Reserve which
stands just outside the office windows – so a constant source of distraction! A beautiful
tree when in full leaf and although sadly dead and damaged it is still a favourite roost and
home for many of the birds. We are used to seeing many different species perching on its
high branches, looking out over the area. However, it was rather a surprise yesterday
morning to see a pair of Egyptian Geese perched up aloft! We usually see these birds on or
around the dams or squawking off in full flight but never in such an unusual position!!
