The welcome summer rains we have had recently have prompted the grass to grow again
here on Pomeroy Reserve, especially the grass on those areas of sweet veldt much relished
by the “grazers”. Early morning often sees the appearance of the wildebeest, impala and
blesbok feeding around the lodges. This richer vegetation is helping all the youngsters to
grow quickly. It’s quite surprising how soon they change from being new-born to
developing into adults. Already little horns can be seen on the blesbok lambs.
