The position of Pomeroy Reserve geographically allows for a wide range of species of birds to be spotted here. The reserve lies within a small distance of the coast but has four specific biomes with its 330 hectares. Each biome attracts a different species of bird. From the open grasslands and diverse fynbos to the tropical looking forest  and dense albany thicket.
